RE:"Retail involves a middle man"... I see...so screwdriver shops are "direct" and not retail? No middle man. Funny how the government doesn't see it this way and still wants to charge sales tax on the retail level...despite what the "industry" thinks. The "industry" and define things the they way they want to but "retail" is universally the last point of sale for human consumption...Direct, Costco, screwdriver shops sales are all retail unless the product is bought with the intent of resale, bought by a tax exempt organizaton or for export for which you'll need a tax ID number.
