WILLMINGTON, Del., April 10 (Reuter) - A federal court jury Thursday awarded Ampex Corp $8 million in its patent infringement suit against Mitsubishi Electric Corp, according to a legal source. Ampex alleged that Mitsubishi's picture-in-a-picture feature infringed an Ampex patent. The evidence portion of the eight day trial before Roderick McKelvie of the U.S. District Court in Delaware ended Wednesday. The nine member jury did not find willful infringement.
