the market is a herd and cows don't have a lot of brains.
lumping mu and cy in the same sentence in most cases is
ridiculous. cy SRAM does not primarily serve the PC market.

nevertheless, the herd will prevail in most cases imo.

also, analysts have to say something.

CNBC 10/19/99 - 6:03:01 PM .....expectations. Tech troubles pulled the nasdaq market lower. Dell computers warning after the bell yesterday that earnings
would suffer because of a rise in price of memory chips, hurt not only Dell, but others so-called box makers as well. They all need memory chips for their PCs.
Dell's answer to avoid losses on memory are plans to advertise computers with less memory. Bad news for semiconductor makers. Micron Technology, and
Cypress Semiconductor, makers of memory chips, were hit especially hard. Traders say Y2K may continue pressuring tech stocks also concerned about
competition, from bond yields.
