Hi,

I read a lot about Amati & ADSL. Got information from the company,
the web, the newsgroups etc. But, I don't understand one thing.
Sure, Amati has the technology, but they have not made any products.
Meanwhile, they have licenced out the technology all over the place.
So, it is fair to say that someone with significant more marketing/sales
bugdet might beat Amati at the ADSL game.
My question is how much does Amati make in licencing out their technology ?
If it is not much and everyone beats Amati to the final product... what
is left for Amati ? How is Amati making sure that is if this product becomes
a defacto standard it is not left with only licencing money.. because that is
just not enough..

Thanx
Anil
