This is clearly a good deal for Intel and probably the beginning of the end of the graphics/3D industry as we know it. The inevitable march to system-on-a-chip continues....

AMD needs to find an equivalent solution to market with its CPUs. I have lost tract of VIAs integrated chipset for the Super-7 platform that was supposed to be shipping around now. May be someone can comment. Initially this is probably going to be an issue only at the lowend and I doubt if there is any impact on Athlon sales until Q1 or Q2 at the earliest. If VIA or some other chipset vendor doesn't get there in time, I am petty sure AMD will become a serious player the chipset business.
