J, you've got the formula only half right. You first need to establish yourself as a guru that people really should follow. Since you've been around SI for so long this will most certainly work against you, just as financials invariably suck the air out of penny stocks (g).

So, here's how I propose you amend your plan.
1. The pick will be made by your pet*.
2. Your pet is psychic. If people don't believe you, tell them to prove otherwise.
3. Assure people your pet has never picked a losing stock.

I guarantee you (ummm, your pet) will attract a huge following.

* If you don't have a pet, don't let on. Just buy one. Even a rat will do. If you do buy a rat, name him Ben.
