"I'm betting that your symptoms will be virtually gone by this evening....36 hrs."

I wish you were right this time but I'm afraid not. The thing I've always found to be most frustrating about a cold is that you always feel "better" when you first get up in the morning. Then, as the day wears on, you start to feel worse again. At least, that's how it always works with me. I guess your body loses it's ability to resist as you progress through a normal day, thereby allowing the cold to pick up steam again. In spite of the fact that I didn't get any sleep last night, I did feel much better than expected this morning, although I wasn't willing to declare Zicam the cause just yet. However, I've been up for 8 hours or so now and I actually feel worse now than I did when I first got up, just as I would normally expect to without Zicam. I did finally break down and get some pseudofed to relieve the congestion. As far as dosing is concerned, I only lapsed to a once every four hour administration last night while in bed. Otherwise, it's been more or like once every 2 or three hours. Yesterday, being the first day of my cold, I administered once every 2 hours.

The bottom line is that I can't detect any significant deviation in the progress of my cold than would otherwise be expected had I not used Zicam at all. Of course, this may still change. I only ask that I be cold free by Friday which would make it day 4 of the cold. Not too much to ask from a remedy that's supposed to work in 1.5 days!
