It's getting to be a bit boring waiting to see what will happen . . . >>Also this month, the receivers secured court approval to start shutting down the Giant Mine in Yellowknife. The first round of layoffs have begun and another 200 workers are facing an uncertain future. Vancouver-based Miramar Mining Corp (OTC BB:MAENF.OB - news). has been negotiating to buy the Giant Mine, and plans to take ore from Giant and process it at Miramar's nearby Con mine.
