my own attempts at T/A are becoming increasing futile, what with earnings churnings, the influence of external news events on equities. imports from China, which are directed to Long Beach, are very significant. Not that our Current Account deficit with China is unusual or, a direct threat to U.S. well-being but, because the stability of the yuan, centralised management of the Chinese economy - is so difficult for us to foretell. To be sure, China is like a "black box" to us, and all we can do is observe its inputs and outputs, try to imagine from these paltry data what is going on inside.
