Hold on here. The deal is: as a general rule, the Flamfoozy are the probers and not the probees. I'm guessing that the actual chain of events was more like these alternate universe life-form thingies you bumped into were Tharks. Tharks are silicone (not silicon) based life-forms and while it is true that they are quite intelligent, it is also true that if you showed them a picture of the Mark VII (which I am guessing you did) they uh...recognized it as a Mark VII...and since we use Tharks for baseballs in Weightless Combat Baseball, they decided to skeedaddle. Just a guess. Unless you made that whole thing up, in which case forget I mentioned it. Lorna Doone?
