kendall & thread..I need help here and would welcome thoughts on this killer handicap I have...

..when I see a call (IFII, PHCM, NTOP..many others) that shows price up 6, 7 or 8...I think "oh-oh..too late"..this includes IPO's...stared CRDS in the face @ 68 and was afraid to enter and so missed a lot...

..now, recognizing that IPOs are high risk, let's focus on the other "movers"...I cannot seem to get the nerve to enter when I see a 10 point gain on some stocks and then it promptly proceeds to a 20 or even 30 point gain...what tools do I need to give me this "reassurance"? ..I like a few points here and there, but I'd really like the big movers before they top..how do some of you get over this "it's too late" syndrome I suffer from?

thanks, guys..
