Ike, Problem is, in 1929 people didn't know that it was 1929. Same went for 1997, 1998, and now, 1999. BTW, cash is big loser long term (which I define by 25 years+), when compared to the indices. As for this year, that's too short term for the retail investor IMO. Tell me, do you trade your house every year? If not, then what's so different for equities (other than to support market makers and on line trading firms)? -BGR.
