Wiz - you are dead-on. Why a correction in the sector? Well - why not? Everyone else has had one! I gave up trying to figure out joe blow money manager and investor. Its just impossible. Perhaps there are instances where company specific issues are indeed the reason for a fall. Thats fine, even if its an overreaction. In the case of AMCC and PMCS, they had great quarters with spectacular guidance - you couldn't ask for more. So what happens? They get clocked. Gee, that makes sense. As Wiz said, maybe a PM is locking in gains, maybe once the stock started to fall a little, another PM figured "someone knows something I don't" (even though the friggin companies just reported and put everything on the table!) or perhaps it was the last sector to get hit etc etc etc. In the end, its all noise. It just doesn't matter one bit. And for those with the guts and a long term perspective (longer than two weeks!) these times usually represent good buying opportunities (yes TD I know they're not cheap - so don't tell me that online!! :-)).

We own great companies and expect them to rise and fall perhaps 50% a year. Yes its not good for the stomach, but its usually good for the wallet.
