IBM to unveil Network Computing Framework

IBM will unveil its Network Computing Framework in Paris next week, in a move to introduce JavaBeans across all IBM platforms from mainframes down, according to John Landry, strategic technology consultant for IBM and Lotus.

I really like this statement the best.

Landry also recited the standard comments from non-Microsoft executives -- network computing and Java are bad news for the Redmond, Wash.,-based company -- and added that there are signs that the Intel-Microsoft alliance is breaking apart. Microsoft's
announcement Sunday that it has bought WebTV is one such sign, according to Landry.
