bill..re: "connect the dots...everyone has a problem" big difference between a "real" problem that can be fatal to a corporate entity, or the "perceived" problem in an analysts mind that a corporation is not meeting his expectations. the value of the company stock has been disconnected from the reality of the tangible corporate operations. investors? no longer buy the "company", they only buy the "shares".......much different even thirty years ago......it has all become quite a game, run by those who haven't a clue about the day to day operations of business, but are keen enough to set standards that must be met. valuation is in the mind of the beholder.......analysts should analyse, not predict or opine....
