Did you read that article where Hardis said that it is absolutely NOT going to be easy to achieve the $8 per share goals.

I think Hardis is finally taking a different approach to the analyst. In the past he has done a great job of selling the analyst on ETN's strategies to achieve its goals. The analysts bite and ETN fails to meet the projections. Now, Hardis is implying that ETN might not achieve its goal of $8 per share, but the company will still be much better than it has ever been. I think Hardis is setting the market up for a big surprise. Finally!

Stock prices don't go up much when company's meet the projections. They go up when they exceed the projections. By lowing the analysts expectations of ETN, Hardis has made it possible for us to see a big jump in the stock price in 2000.

One Analyst lowered its projected price from $125 to $115. Another analyst lowered its price projection from $130 to $79.

In the article it stated that ETN was on track to achieve an earnings per share of $7.37. One analyst lowered its EPS projection from $8 to $7.50.
