The question remains, was today's optimism warranted, or were today's sharp rallies in the major averages just a severe case of bear market fakeout drawing in the unsuspecting before the next leg down. If the inter and intra-market divergences apparent today, and events after the bell, are any guide, the unsuspecting bought into what can only be described kindly as a sucker's rally.
