The Real estate industry in the country too has gone online with the launch of indiaproperties.com, a real estate search engine by India Properties Com Pvt Ltd.
The search engine will facilitate buying, selling and leasing of properties across the country.
The website has an extensive database of properties in over 60 cities and plans are to treble this over the next six months. The average hit at the site is two million per day, the company claims.
Naresh Malkani, e-managing director, Indiaproperties.com said, "The main purpose of launching the site was to bring buyers, sellers and their agents to a common platform."
"Today, the industry is the largest unorganised business in the country. With the launch of the site, we hope to address this issue and bring a more presonalised structure to the real estate business," Malkani said.
The site will also provide a link to the Reserve Bank of India's list of frequently asked questions by NRIs. Indiaproperties.com has also announced its association with ICICI Ltd for on-line housing finance. Sellers will have the option of getting their property pre-approved by ICICI Ltd, while buyers will be able to pre-approve themselves for a housing finance loan immediately.
