Jim: If you believe "BT/MCI Merger would work just the way they had", I've got news for you. BT is going to put their stamp on things. MCI will keep their name for US branding. Everywhere else, it will be Concert. If the MCI culture doesn't survive, it would be bad for the new combined company since that edge is what makes MCI so savy.
