Dear Thomas: Three answers:

1. Did you flip the sat antennas up?
Oh yes, and i was extra careful to make sure (in the case of the Q phone) that is was fully extended and pointed and maintained in the most vertical position possible throughout the calls

2. Did you try out a car kit?
No and nor did i try the fixed phones (which seemed to be happily serving people chatting for lengthy periods of time as i tried to do on the handheld phones).

3. Did you wear a Viking helmet, you know
these metal cones with horns attached
supplied by Ericsson?

Not this time, but i did come close when I intro'd RadioMail's product at Stewart Alsop's first annual DEMO conference with the Ericsson team members of the Mobidem packet modem project. They had the Viking helmet's with the pointy metal cones and i, representing The American wore a cowboy hat with an 800 Mhz 5db gain antenna attached.

Regretfully I didn't bring my cowboy hat & antenna to Geneva last week, but reckon even if I did, i'd need a different antenna fitting/size for the S & L bands to operate properly... :))

Best regards,
Geoff
