To All, IBM finally tells the truth? Anyone want to ice skate in Hell. <g>
Dan Niles was on CNBS this morning and it sounds like he may actually have grown some IQ points in the past 9 months or so. Yes, he was totally wrong on the fundamentals of box makers and chippies for years, but now that he realizes they have been lying through their teeth (most perceptive observers have known this for at least three years), he is vicious in cutting them no slack.
CNBS asked him point blank if he thought IBM and Dell had been scamming shareholders. At that point, most analysts backpedal and say something like "no, no, those good old boys wouldn't line their own pockets at the expense of America's dumbest individuals." Niles just said, "it's hard to tell." Quite a change in tone for the usual CNBS tout-a-rama.
Of course, right after Niles appeared, Maria was on screaming, "IBM ticked up and eighth. Good God Allmighty, IBM ticked up an eighth." <g> |
