To All, I had a great day at the simulcast yesterday, thanks to Russell Baze being overbet at Bay Meadows and me choosing the right longshot to fill an Exacta. But, I had a terrific internet experience when I got home. On Wed the 13th, Perfumania had an interesting promotion. During an 18 hour period, two secret hours were prize hours where any order you made using Mastercard were free. I tried to psyche them out (yes, everyone knows how cheap I am) and then ordered one of my favorite and most expensive colognes, Acqua Di Gio. It was $45 and change, including shipping.
The next day I was kind of ticked off because they didn't say which hours had been free, but I assumed I had missed it. Last night I finally received a congratulations letter. Ah, had I only known, I would have ordered Chanel Number 5 (for gifts), Antaeus and all the Dolce & Gabanna and Calvin Klein fragrances out the wazoo. But I'm still happy to get a $45 order for free.
Make cologne another thing I don't pay for. I already get shampoo, ball point pens, deodorant, hair color (Hey, I'm 51 and gray ain't my thing <g>), lipstick, writing paper, Scotch tape and many other items free every month from Eckerd and Walgreen's and, sometimes, Office Max. Now, if anyone sees a free rent/mortgage payment deal, let me know. <g> You never have too much free cash flow when you are a gambler and a speculator. Already, I've missed the current decline in MU by cutting corners to stick to my boring "discipline." <g> Fortunately, I got Dell IBM and several other losers.
