Harry,

Regarding the payment frequency option . . . I'm not as impressed as you are by this feature. Granted, it's a nice feature, but I've been banking with Quicken online for over four years. Being a bachelor with 11 nieces and nephews, it's pretty hard to remember all their birthdays! Four years ago, I told the computer to kick them out a check once a year on their birthday. I can't remember their birthdays, but I do when I get their thank you cards in the mail! Uncle Tom never forgets their birthday!

When I initially met with Ken back in May, I tried to persuade him to make the website as close to Quicken as possible. He said it was a little too confusing for the customer he was going after. To a certain extent I think he is correct, but Quicken has some features which I think they should implement. I'm flying out to Philly to meet with them again next week. One feature Quicken has which I would like Internet banking to implement would be. The Quicken user can EDIT the register page and type in who they write a check to, where the Internet banking customer cannot! It's very convenient to scroll down the Quicken screen and look for a particular payee! With Internet banking, if you hand-write a check, you have to look at each individual check.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a merchant call me and say they haven't received payment for a certain account. With Quicken all I have to do is type in the merchants name, click find and it pulls up every check I ever sent that merchant! My usual response is, I'm sorry but I paid that bill on XYZ date w/check #ABC! A huge time saver and this feature is not currently available with Internet banking. Customers need to be able to EDIT their check register! Not an easy fix . . . with security issues and all, but if they want the business customer, it's a must have feature!
