Just one last comment. I don't know if many of you guys are noticing how you have to be PERFECT this quarter. Not good. Perfect. If anyone anywhere finds the smallest dent in your armor, you're going to be dinged. There is no forgiveness for the premium prices you see now.

These aren't my rules, but I learn fast. Every earnings event is a learning experience and this year has provided the same theme. This quarter is the most stringent I've seen.

So let take apart the ML report and I'll show you why we're getting dinged:

1) EMC's lack of disclosure regarding Data General
2) How long EMC can maintain its price premium
3) Revenue was a touch light due to softness at McData
4) McData sub was poor at $24 million vs $44 million expectation
5) Expenses again grew faster than revenue.
6) Management could not address the effect of adding Data General

OK then, ST there's risk and investors don't like that. They sell out and wait for lower entry points. They certainly are getting them.

Remember, if you're NOT PEFECT, you're getting really shot. Want a list of casualties? Just look around...
