on the Mastadon thing, I believe they did find one in the Dawson area in the Klondike gold rush. I know the museum up there did have some samples of bones and tusk ,(i think.). Years ago, up there on Hunker CREEK, my partner and I pick,shoveled and thawed down 35 feet looking for an old pillar. 27 feet down I found moose droppings covered by a yellow/green grass (indicating it hadn't had time to die completely) frozen in the ground. blew me away, should have kept it!
On Brazil, it has to be when not if, and they said the aluvials are proceeding well. thanks-mike
