With BSQUARE's development services (97% of sales) and software, ICD makers can integrate Microsoft's Windows CE operating system into their products. Its consumer software enables palm-size and handheld PCs to perform such tasks as faxing and printing. BSQUARE's clients include the chip operations of Hitachi and Motorola, plus ICD makers such as Casio and Hewlett-Packard. BSQUARE's three founders, all former Digital Equipment (now Compaq) engineers, together own more than half of the company; venture capital firm TA Associates owns 22%.
