Because no one pays the slightest bit of attention to Wall Street and Washington nerds if they aren't saying something dramatic that will make a good sound bite. Trust me, sometimes I write those sound bites. Still haven't got a clue which way this market is really headed. Don't see any definite direction except for wacko mo-mo stocks just running higher.
