Amir, If the short position is open, and it is not a commodity, I don't see any reason why you'd want to realize a gain or a loss before you dispose of it. Unless to offset other gains and losses. I'd ask for an explanation on this one.

MCD and KO are responsible for producing unhealthy products, but they are not addictive. And, as bad as they are, they do have some nutritional value. There is absolutely nothing good about a cigarette. All it does is harm and it is addictive. I consider that a much worse product than a Big Mac or a Mr. Pibb.

BTW, alcohol is addictive for some, but many can enjoy it in moderation with healthful results, so I also don't put it in a class with cigarettes.

But if it doesn't offend your morals, these stocks look dirt cheap.
