TheCow, if you make a floppy startup disk, the program to format a hard disk is on it. Here's how to make a startup disk in Win98... MyComputer>Control panel>make/remove programs Open the latter and one of the tabs is 'startup disk'. One of the programs this puts on the floppy is Fdisk.exe That's the one for formatting the hard disk. You may know all this. I just refreshed my own memory by doing all the above. G.
