"Cascade" means "opportunity" and both companies's shareholders will benefit after a time, John. Cascade brings many good things to Ascend so it's not simply a one-way street, IMO. Yes, for a moment we ASND holders have been hurt but the synergy will give Ascend a bounce we wouldn't have gotten without what CSCC brings to the table. Both managements have played this scenario very well indeed - bad news up front, clearing the way for positive things in the future. Solid, very advanced products on both sides and probably a very strong will to succeed on the part of the employees of both companies - little reason for dismay and lots to look forward to. Dee Jay
