C.COM Launches Telecommuting Platform Nationwide
HOUSTON, April 9/Charter Communications International Inc Chief Operating Officer Stephen L. Schilling today announced the nationwide launch of TeleCommute Solution(TM), C.COM's turnkey telecommuting platform. The platform was developed through the strategic consolidation of the telecommuting philosophies and technologies of TeleCommute Solutions, a C.COM subsidiary acquired July 11, 1996, with the greater technical, engineering and management expertise of C.COM. Schilling stated that TeleCommute Solution(TM) delivers a dynamic remote computing solution, including integration of telephony and data services, ongoing maintenance and complete human resource and management interface. "C.COM is at the forefront of telecommuting development, and we have now bundled key components into a single powerful telecommuting package. Within 60 days we will introduce TeleCommute Solution(TM) in Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles," said Schilling.
Identifying and resolving hidden costs is a vital task in any telecommuting application, and Carl Sugden, Director of Telecommuting, and an expert in the field, said C.COM has created a sophisticated process that discovers issues often overlooked in the development process which add unexpected costs. Sugden pointed out that telecommuting is no longer some extreme concept of narrow appeal, rather it is the future-look for those companies focused on saving costs while increasing productivity and building a larger virtual workforce. "As we teach corporate managers to effectively monitor remote workers, companies gain maximum benefit for the business and the employee. As internal management philosophies migrate from the present hands-on control, true interactive telecommuting will become a mainstay in the allocation of corporate resources," said Sugden.
Schilling notes that C.COM has demonstrated its ability to implementseamless telecommuting systems for Fortune 500 firms. Schilling said, "TeleCommute Solution(TM) is the state of the art, and it achieves the economic, environmental and productivity goals of the optimum telecommuting system."
