Techie, You are right. The interesting question is how the market will be divided among the major players and who else will get in. That in a nutshell is what scares me about the future viability of the success of AMTX. Given its size, can Amati compete if Ascend - or others - comes on strong? What about the other big names? As I live in the Chicago area I wonder about our two large telecommunications giants right here in town - Motorola and US Robotics Is there any covenant prohibiting Motorola from developing its own ADSL modems? Why has USRX's chairman publicly criticized ADSL as an interim solution not worth much. (What does he have up his sleeve?) Anyways, it should be an interesting next 6 to 12 months as more information comes in. Regards, Alan
