RJ et al,
I see this site has been quiet for a while. This makes sense, since things seem to be reaching a head in the final approval process for Fenway and they have refrained from releases "hyping " the stock, just release of news item as they occur.I thank it reflects confidence and professionalism.
With the Bre-X situation, I expected to hear from Crusader with a comparison to Fenway. Crusader,I give you credit for your restraint, and hope you were able to warn their investors in time.
I also miss hearing from Redempto D. Anda, our Palawan Sun opinion writer. My original opinion (hope) was that he represented an impartial news reporter's view of the situation. Then I realized he was an environmentalist and came with a bias. That was okay, as long as he tried to be fair. He had stated. "If there is good news" we would hear it from him. Unfortunately, the only "good news" we can expect from Mr. Anda is that Fenway has collapsed and has buried "Mr. H. John Wilson and his ilk".
In his latest opinion piece in the Palawan Sun Newspaper Mr. Anda made the comparison between Bre-X's collapse and Fenway's situation. Perhaps he lost a bet with Crusader! Rather than environmental concerns, he now is fixed on Fenway's stock, and its trading. In this, one could say he was out of his environment.( Sorry, I couldn't resist) He should stick to his original position and just compare Mr. Wilson to a colonialist as he has in the past. One can forgive a poet's enthusiasm, but now he's an expert on the Canadian Stock Market!
With great pride, Mr. Anda states that Fenway has reached a dead end! He refers to the request made by the PCSD that Fenway and Mr. Tito Mata reach some agreement. He admits that Fenway drafted a Memorandum of Agreement for discussion with Mr. Mata which "is now in the waste basket of Mata's counsel". Can the PCSD fault Fenway for its effort, or excuse Mr. Mata for his lack of meaningful dialogue? Is Mr. Mata the true representative of the Domadoway? Is he acting responsibly? What role do the Domadoway tribal chiefs have, and will they seek a fair resolution for their own people and the good of the people of the nation? It is my understanding that most if not all of the chiefs support the project. Are these the "stage managed pro-cement rallies" people he refers to in his article?
Mr. Anda is assured that Fenway will go the way of Bre-X in the next 3 months (a bet he said he has made with Mr. Wilson). Does he mean when Bre-x went from less than a dollar to several hundred dollars? Of course if he means there is no cement at the site......
