>>>What are you short term outlook on Amati Stock. I am heavily invested in it. Should I lighten up some?

NIng, I make a policy of not giving stock advise... :)... Honestly, it's difficult to say when it comes to short term trading.

Let's see what we have learned the last few days:

* AT&T Paradyne's news release indicating they will continue to fight for CAP. This doesn't surprise me, but I don't think CAP will win, so I may be biased...

* Ascend getting into ADSL. No public announcement but we know they are planning. This confirms the idea that ADSL/DMT will win at the end (at least in my mind...). This may be competition for Amati but we knew they won't be the only ones in the market...

* GenRad annoucing they will work on testing equipment for MOT's chips. This can only be positive.

* Amati is holding a ADSL workshop. This shouldn't hurt but help.

Now, as far as general stuff... There is concern that the FED may raise interest rates, that the market has gone too far too fast etc... If there is a general correction, of course Amati will go down with everything else. If you are a long term investor you may not care. If you have profits in Amati, you may want to lighten up a little now & then buy back later. On the other hand one good news from them may make you regret that... So you see what I mean, it's hard to tell these things... or maybe I am just not smart enough... :)
