Funny you should mention that. Today my broker informed me that his main office in New York has set an alert on my account. It seems I have accumulated an excess in commissions. You see at this point my YTD realized gains are exceeded by my YTD commissions. For every $1 I've made in profit he has recieved $1.12 in commissions. This is mostly due to a couple huge hits I took on October options expirations. They have decided to restrict my ability to day-trade until this imbalance is corrected. "Funny" that this would all happen during the 1 month of free trades I got from my broker for some improper executions a week or so ago.

Is it also a coincidence that today I decided I was going to close all positions at the end of each day since we seem to be gapping up and down all over the place every morning. I think I'll feel safer in cash overnight. I fully expect to wake up one morning with a gap up or down on the S&P of 25+ points based on the outrageous volitility I've seen lately. Either scenario I would rather miss since you can usually follow the daily trend but it is it is much harder (lately) to predict what it will be tomorrow.
