Oh, no, I am connecting them speculatively. I thought that I had said enough to explain, but I see that I did not. It is not "violence" against the women, I think, but a view of them as primitive, demonic powers that rule over his life. The actual painting, which hangs in the Museum of Modern Art, is huge. They are overpowering him....
