Mark, I disagree. When comparing roll your own to getting outside help, price is relatively unimportant. Price only matters when setting two outside vendors against each other. No one ignores the money-saving possibilities of this strategy. Fragmented? Who will compete head-to-head with WIND/INTS for design wins in the near future?

Pricing power takes a back seat for RTOS customers to time-to-market. Time-to market was emphasized in the press release, yet no one here has taken up that theme...
