I had a feeling Derlan was not interested in selling or being acquired, that's why they never divested themselves of their pump division. Today's move is really boneheaded but should not come as a surprise. While everyone is trying to move away from a focus on the military, Derlan is plunging right in. Brilliant! By the way, the Apache helicopter is a big flying dud and Pentagon officials know that this program is at risk of being shutdown. The chopper was little used in the Kosovo operation because it was extremely vulnerable in low flight combat. Boeing knows what's up with this flying Edsel, that's why they want out. Good move Derlan.
