The reason for the Cisco rumor is very clear. If a person had started a rumor on the other 3 big cap techs in the Nasdaq-----Microsoft, Dell, Intel------nobody would have taken it seriously since they have already spoken!!! Cisco was the only one left that could influence the Nasdaq negatively and gave these people a chance to cover. Actually they should try to crack down on this sort of thing. When we get all these people coming on TV and saying how the market will decline, it is no surprise that lots of experts are caught being short. I also read a story that short interest yesterday that short interest in the NYSE stocks is at a one year high. I hope Cisco comes out by Monday to deny this bs.
