Henderson, NV, July 29, 1999 – AgriBioTech, Inc. ("ABT" or the "Company") (NASDAQ National Market: ABTX), announced today that the Company will be among the first to sell a national seed brand via the Internet on the web site of DirectAg.com, a new agriculture web site and "e-commerce" business. The DirectAg.com web site (www.DirectAg.com) will be up and operating beginning August 2, 1999. ABT will be the leading forage seed company and brand featured on the site.

"We are constantly looking for new ways to satisfy customers and to better market our products," said Kenneth Budd, ABT President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and head of retail marketing and operations. "We believe the Internet is and will be an increasingly important way of serving farmers and ranchers."

In addition to its e-commerce capabilities, DirectAg.com offers producers a personalized knowledge-building center called "My DirectAg," timely ag news and information, comprehensive product information, chat rooms and bulletin boards.
