KNT..the big deal. We called KNT on this thread as an earnings play at 17 and we did not have to hold it for weeks from 20.. It closed at 20 so being in 2 days was infinitely better for 2 points out of a 3 point gain, than breaking even after holding from 20 for month or more and tying up 20k. The way to trade is not to hold a loser (or two or three) for the chance that something will happen but to enter when technical criteria have shown it is close to breaking out (close to earnings report, increased volume)..

Otherise its a waste of precious capital. We also made 5% on PIOS, 13% on CAIR and 7% on ATVI all within 1-2 day holds. PIOS was a stock doing nothing but correcting until it did pop for 1-2 day gain solely based on earnings.. Here again holding a losing stock in the midst of a correction is not good trading, whether it be position trading or 'investing' which is another word for 'getting stuck in a bad swing or daytrade'...

On the same note CS was held for a nice gain as it showed a few weeks of anticipatory upswing. I was asked about holding through earnings and I said "NO" the stock was then 17 and today is trading at 14 13/16. So that is my opinion on 3 mediocre (last one is only 'part-time' mediocre) stocks that have been touted ad nauseum to the point of my getting pm's to mention them on the thread. Admittedly PIOS was in our newsletter for solely fundamental reasons, as it was an did have a positive quarter after a negative one last quarter, but it was never did anything but correct more and more and it turned out to be one of our less spectacular plays.

We do not recommend stocks or 'pound the table' on losers. We leave that to others. We don't even pound the table on winners, we just mechanically call them as they trigger or at least have them on the list at the 'pivotal' point for a trigger. In conclusion we dont'advocate pounding the table on any stock although stocks in the throes of terrific momentum called in a timely manner are welcomed on this thread. But no way will we 'pump or tout' stocks that are not ALREADY showing their mettle (i.e. ALLR, WEBT,VERT, VIAN, etc)
