All those factors are valid except for the first one. Bin splits are doing just fine. Otherwise, Intel wouldn't have felt free to introduce a 733 MHz speed grade, even in the face of competition from Athlon. Higher speed grades could also be coming very soon, although probably not before Y2K.

Now if only those guys in Folsom can get that Camino platform out the door ...
