Kuwaiti Oil Minister Sheikh Saud Nasser al-Sabah said he shares with Saudi Arabia the view that oil producers should consider extending supply limits beyond the end of March.

``Extending the duration of the cuts is a possibility. It would be a positive step for reasonable prices in the future,' he told Reuters in Kuwait.

Oil officials in Saudi Arabia and Mexico said earlier this week they would consider extending the production cuts.

Following Kuwait's comments Friday, Venezuelan Deputy Energy and Mines Minister Alvaro Silva said the current output curbs would be extended beyond March if necessary to keep oil prices stable.

``The agreement about oil cuts will be maintained firmly until March and beyond if necessary,' he said.
