Assay Results Continue to Extend Scale of Ferguson Lake
Ni-Cu-Co-Pt-Pd Deposit, Mineralization Intersected 4.5 km West of Main Deposit

Nunavut Territory - Management of Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to announce further assay results from the second phase of drilling conducted on the Company's 100% owned Ferguson Lake nickel/copper/cobalt/platinum/palladium project, located 200 km west of Rankin Inlet in Canada's East Arctic.

Results from holes FL99-12 and FL99-13, drilled 4.5 km west of the main discovery zone, confirmed the enrichment of commodity elements within the mineralization and the structural orientation of the deposit. The main body of mineralization has now been tested by localized drilling over a 9 km strike length. This new extension drill target outcrops as a 1.2 km long gossan, located some 4 km west of the main zone.

The results from the second phase of drilling continue to demonstrate that this group of base and precious metals exists in all holes to date. This evidence suggests that mineralization occurs over a large area and further indicates that a large metallogenic system exists on the property.

Drill results from the westward extension are as follows:

Hole # Interval (meters) Length
FL99-12 41.50 - 55.00 13.50m of 0.13% Cu, 0.11% Ni, 0.03% Co, 0.11 g/t Pd, 0.02 g/t Pt
including 1.50m of 0.39% Cu, 0.50% Ni, 0.10% Co,
0.57 g/t Pd, 0.02 g/t Pt
and 1.34m of 0.55% Cu, 0.50% Ni, 0.09% Co,
0.24 g/t Pd, 0.03 g/t Pt
and 1.47m of 0.40% Cu, 0.25% Ni, 0.04% Co,
0.34 g/t Pd, 0.03 g/t Pt

FL99-13 47.50 - 57.00 9.50m of 0.30% Cu, 0.19% Ni, 0.04% Co,
0.29 g/t Pd, 0.02 g/t Pt
including 2.30m of 0.57% Cu, 0.36% Ni, 0.08% Co,
0.64 g/t Pd, 0.03 g/t Pt
including 1.05m of 0.62% Cu, 0.13% Ni, 0.02% Co,
0.13 g/t Pd, 0.02 g/t Pt

Management further announces the results of exploration holes FL99-14 and FL99-15, drilled 600 meters immediately south of the main deposit into a mineralized amphibolite horizon traced over 500 meters at surface and parallel to the main body. The drilling also intersected base metal/PGE enriched mineralization and confirmed the structural orientation of the North dipping body.

Importantly, the section from hole FL99-15 included platinum/palladium values exceeding 2.3 g/t:

Hole # Interval (meters) Length
FL99-14 21.50 - 22.60 1.10m of 0.11% Cu, 0.08% Ni, 0.02% Co,
0.59 g/t Pd, 0.14 g/t Pt

FL99-15 119.40 - 125.00 5.60m of 0.24% Cu, 0.21% Ni, 0.04% Co,
1.79 g/t Pd, 0.57 g/t Pt

As exploratory targets, the west and south extensions were drilled to a shallow depth to test mineralization. An upcoming winter program will include both drilling to extend the known deposit at depth and along its margins, in addition to further drilling to explore for new deposits within the system. Currently defined as possibly containing in excess of 10.3 million tonnes, the Ferguson Lake deposit remains open at depth and along strike.

The Company is confident that the next phase of drilling will expand the zone substantially. Based on the success of Starfield's Phase I and Phase II drilling programs to date, the Company will continue to take an aggressive approach in advancing the Ferguson Lake project.

Results from the remaining 5 of 19 drill holes completed during the Phase II program are expected imminently. Analysis of all data received to date will be released as received.
