Too personal? No not really, at least from my point of view. I can't speak for anybody else here, but I have many more personal relationships with the people on the stock threads vs. here, or any opinion thread on SI... because, I believe, the stock people are very much like myself... they work in high tech, I've met many of them or knew them before I started posting on SI. Otoh, I have almost no exposure to the different personalities that post here, and I have the impression the reciprocal is true, but that is what makes it interesting.
On this issue of disagreements with JLA specifically, I would like to point out that when I am not here... someone else becomes the target, as we have already seen, so it isn't a one-shot personality conflict or anything... the difference is, those people seem to have left this thread. |
