Yeah, it's the law. They don't want to appear to be hyping the stock. Seriously. They have to be careful about that.

Mark Haines has stated his indignation on several occasions at the assertion that CNBC does not have any influence on the stock market.

That cracks me up too. They have stupid Martha Stewart all over the damn TV for the entire day her stupid stock goes public and then they say they don't influence the market.

I think they should have concentrated on Vince McMahon, he understands the concept of media hype much, much better.
