You're right that insider buying doesn't represent all that much volume. However, dozens of careful studies have shown that heavy insider buying is a very strong indicator of a higher stock price six to twelve months out.

I'm sure Sanan doesn't want the bank to sell any more of his shares. Maybe that's why the company is now getting ready to buy back such a large number of shares. I don't thing you'll see this taking place over the next year. I think the company is going to buy as much as they can now while the price is low. Once the price has been forced up by this, they'll stop buying. Like everybody else, they want to buy low. The shares were sold by the bank because the decline in the stock price had cut their value as collateral. Sanan wants to get the stock price up now.
