My guess is Ashanti will be screwed to the maximum extent possible which would probably be something like a liquidation of the company to Barrick for pennies on the dollar, shareholders zeroed out and some arrangement to put new gold on the market. If the Ghana government were smart they would just give the finger to the bankers and tell them to come sue for the money, the friggin bankers got them into the mess in the first place.
