Ten - Re: ""Not exactly." 820 will be the real volume platform. 840 is a platform that satisfies lower volume markets" Is the i840 a SUPERSET of the i820 - that is, does it contain EVRYTHING the 820 does and more ? I know the 840 has a DUAL channel Rambus - and I assume both channels have to be at least partially loaded. The "worst case" I can see is that it will require TWICE as much RAMBUS memory as the 820.
