John--- CPQ could not buy the steam off a hot dog. CPQ could not pick a company to buy (look at DIG). They were not bright enough to use and keep what they had (AV). Who in the hell would want CPQ stock for any business including a mom & pop pizza shop that was only losing a million $$ a year? They could not even buy a CPQ computer for the CEO as the sales people would not accept CPQ stock in payment. Now someone may have a Commodore 64 to donate for MC to use to play PAC MAN while the stock continues to fall and institutions continue to bail... How many people do you know that are brain dead and interested in trading lawn clippings for CPQ stock??? Just a few examples of why nothing is going to be bought with stock or cash,,,, JMHO of course...
